The organising committee for the Islamic Games called at short notice (3 weeks prior to games commencing) to manage the replacement of the pitch surface the evening before the Islamic Games were due to begin

The pitch had a stage placed over it for the opening ceremony for months prior.  Our task was to replace the dead surface with new grass to allow field games to be held.   All work to be carried out immediately after the opening ceremony to allow games to begin the next day.

Organised a local turf supplier, managed the turf at supplier 2 weeks before lifting. Organised the lifting, removal, transportation and laying / finishing to the site.

Trained a large team of installers and managed the entire replacement process from start to finish.

Work was completed over 17 hours in total from the first lifting of the turf at the nursery to the final laying of the last piece on the stadium surface.  We then managed the surface for the duration of the games.
